Sustainability Conferences
Over the past month I’ve had the opportunity to attend various sessions on sustainability at the NYS Green Building Conference in Syracuse and the WNY Sustainability Business Round Table in Buffalo. I was honored to be among the various speakers at both of these conferences. But the biggest highlight for me was the announcement by Chip Berry, VP of Cannon Design (pictured above) of the first annual Eric Lindstrom Sustainability Star award (presented to John Somers, CEO of Harmac Medical Products). As many know, Eric Lindstrom was a star mechanical engineer and sustainability proponent from Cannon Design. Unfortunately, Eric passed away late last year at a young age. I had the privilege of working with Eric on various projects. I’m only one of countless industry professionals that will miss him very much. Eric, if you’re listening – congratulations. Well done!
